Typical Usage Example:
A manufacturer of plastic products has three regrinders on the factory floor. All rejects and sprues are collected and fed into the regrinders to granulate the scrap and thus recover raw material for reuse.

However one of the problems encountered was that operators would start the regrinder, run the waste product through, then walk away to attend to other matters forgetting to turn the regrinder off again.

The regrinder would then run idling away drawing 9 amps, until the operator, or another operator arrived and placed raw material into the regrinder. That operator, not having had to start the regrinder, would not be concious of turning it off, and so the cycle continued - the three regrinders virtually running continuously, as the factory runs on a 24 hours basis.

Besides the waste and associated cost of the electricity, there is also the cost incured with machine wear and tear, with the maintenance and repair costs that go along with it.

Dramatic cost savings were experienced after introducing our ECONOMIZER under current monitors to all three regrinders.

How it Works:
The ECONOMIZER senses the current drawn by the machine which it is monitoring. When the current exceed or drops below the preset limit the ECONOMIZER begins a timeout period. On completion of the timeout period the ECONIMZER turns the machine off. Simply and effective!
